Downtime Task: Unweaving a Spell
Deacon Master Chanty recognizes that many of you will not be able to meet her task yet. She calls it "understandable" but her mouth makes a tight, disappointed line.
She assures you that there is a reward once all tasks have been achieved, and she urges you to seek the necessary Enlightenment to meet the tasks and acquire what you can from the opportunity to learn from so many Masters ... and Adepts (she'll add, grudgingly)
Story-wise, the unweaver draws upon his understanding of
the Spheres, Prime energy, and the methods of enchantment,
then begins a ritual that unravels the original caster’s work.
Game-wise, the character needs at least one dot in Prime, plus
at least one dot in each of the Spheres used in the original spell.
Rolling at +1 to the basic countermagick difficulty (again, see
above), the player tries to overcome each of the original caster’s
successes.

Does she have spells that we will be unweaving? Or would you like us to make some examples up?

I kinda assumed like the other countermagick, that you could work with each other. I also know not everyone has Prime.
But if you want an NPC to provide some low-level spells, I cool with that.

Ok, i'm gonna do the same stinky handkerchief spell, but try for an extra duration to give folks time to unweave it.
Stinky cheese cloth
Alter a portion of the cloth into Sulphur.
Matter 2
Instruments: water, sound
Aspen spritzes the air with water and cries "pheeeeeewwwwweeee!! That smells Bad!"
Coincidental? Diff 3+2=5
Standard feat? 2 successes needed.
extra duration 1 success to last 1 scene.
first round 9, 5 - spell working
second round 6, 4 - extra duration achieved!
ha, unweave that!

Re: Downtime Task: Unweaving a Spell
Doctor will go work on a machine for a little while, using Inventor to help. After some trial and error he comes back and takes Aspen up on the challenge, waiting for the handkerchief to be spelled and then aiming what looks like a small alien blaster gun point blank to the napkin and pulling the trigger. (8,4,9) first round energy blasts from the gun arcing energy across the handkerchief without burning or singing it. Narrowing his eyes as he sensed a desire to impress, he focused his will and cranked up the juice. (spending WP) (4,0,7) The handkerchief flares with power then the magic is drained into ambient energy.
